We integrate agriculture into the urban landscape, inviting citizens to grow their own food and play an active role in guaranteeing their Right to Food.
To this end, we launched the Lak´a Uta Organic Garden, the first urban community food garden in Bolivia. We also support and advise urban gardeners all over Bolivia while also offering trainings, tutorials and manuals that guide you through starting your own food garden.
What is the Lak´a Uta Organic Garden
The Lak´a Uta Organic Garden is the first urban community food garden in Bolivia, located in the city of La Paz, at more than 3600 meters above sea level. Our community is made up of more than 40 families that come together to grow fresh and organic food in harmony with Mother Earth. The garden is also an Open Classroom where more than 10,000 have come to learn how to practice urban agriculture.
